Frosé All Day

Although we are overly excited for the quickly approaching return of fall and all that comes with it (i.e. football, boots, and pumpkin flavored everything), summer is not quite over yet. We’re taking every opportunity to soak up what’s left of the warm weather and there’s no better way than with fruity, frozen cocktails. We created our take on frosé and were not disappointed (despite the headache the next morning).

Contrary to how we usually do things, we took the simple route when it came to ingredients. All we included was rosé wine, vodka, frozen strawberries, and ice. We garnished with blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries and it was one of the prettiest drinks we have ever made. It was just the right balance of sour and sweet and tasted a lot more smoothie than boozey (so take caution when drinking).

The process is easy and can really be adapted for whatever your needs are (more or less alcohol). We used the entire bottle of rosé as well as approximately 5 shots of vodka. After mixing it up in the blender with about 10 ounces of frozen strawberries and enough ice to get that frozen consistency, we had summer in a glass. Although a lot of frosé recipes call for extra sweetener like sugar or simple syrup, we would definitely recommend not adding anything extra. The rosé and strawberries are sweet enough on their own.
